Senior HR Generalist

Job Description

We are seeking a high energy, experienced Senior Human Resources Generalist to strengthen our HR team who has interest in succession to the VP Human Resources role in two to three years.  The incumbent would be initially be responsible for administration of human resource processes and procedures and will report directly to the VP Human Resources.  As our new Senior HR Generalist you will be introducing new Human Resources principles and concepts to the facility, managing the HRIS system, recruiting, benefits administration, record keeping functions, and backup  payroll administration.  The SR HR Generalist will provide Employee Relations support to approximately 180 employees at all levels. 

Qualifications

  • BS in Human Resources preferred
  • PHR or SPHR Required
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment a plus
  • Fluent in Spanish a plus
  • Proficient with MS Office
  • Must have experience with HRIS programs and benefits administration 
  • 8+ years’ experience working in progressively responsible HR positions
  • Track record of maintaining confidentiality, positive employee interactions, and working in a team oriented environment
  • Strong organization, interpersonal, teambuilding, and communication skills
  • Strong proponent of change management and continuous improvements efforts
  • Must be able to demonstrate ability to maintain strong confidentiality
  • Must have history of implementing and managing special projects

Essential Functions

  • Develop, organize and facilitate human resources best practices and programs to meet both employee and business needs
  • Establish strong working relationships with employees at all levels of the organization
  • Manage recruitment efforts for all positions along with new hire orientation
  • Performs benefits administration  including open enrollment and change reporting, communications programs, claims resolutions, and invoice auditing
  • Talent management to include identification of training needs, career development and mentoring programs
  • Provide full employee relations support and foster com*munication efforts.  Support managers on policy interpretation and employee relations issues including but not limited to performance management, compensation strategies and internal investigations
  • Provide guidance and training to leadership roles in order to improve skill sets related to employee engagement, retention, and employment law
